Be Biblically correct, not politically

We are called to not be of this world.

We are called in several passages of the Bible not to "conform to this world."

Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.

We are also informed by scripture that when we are not of this world, we will not be liked by those who are.

If you belonged to the world, it would love you as its own. As it is, you do not belong to the world, but I have chosen you out of the world. That is why the world hates you.

What does "being of this world" really mean?

"Being of this world" means living an earthly life style that is accepted by the earthly. However, what it does NOT mean is acting as though one is above others. Romans 3:23, "for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God." We need to do our best to live according to God's Word in all aspects of our lives.
